At VAL EVES, we take great care in packaging and shipping our handmade Japanese fans to ensure they arrive safely at your destination. Each fan is a unique work of art that requires special handling and protection during transit.
Processing Time
- Standard Orders: 2-3 business days
- Custom/Personalized Fans: 5-7 business days
- Large Orders (5+ fans): 3-5 business days
Please note that processing times may be extended during peak seasons (holidays, festivals) or due to high demand. We will notify you if any delays are expected.

Domestic Shipping United States
- Standard Shipping: 5-7 business days - $8.99
- Express Shipping: 2-3 business days - $15.99
- Overnight Shipping: 1 business day - $25.99
- Free Standard Shipping: Orders over $75
International Shipping
- Standard International: 10-15 business days - $19.99
- Express International: 5-8 business days - $35.99
- Premium International: 3-5 business days - $49.99
International shipping rates may vary based on destination and package weight/size
Packaging & Protection
Each handmade Japanese fan is carefully:
- Wrapped in acid-free tissue paper
- Secured with custom foam inserts
- Placed in a protective rigid mailer or box
- Include care instructions and authenticity certificate
For multiple fans, each piece is individually wrapped and cushioned to prevent damage during transit.
Shipping Restrictions
We currently ship to most countries worldwide, with the following exceptions:
- Countries with import restrictions on decorative items
- Locations where postal service is unreliable or suspended
- Areas affected by natural disasters or political instability

Customs & Duties (International Orders)
- Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and fees
- We declare full item value on customs forms as required by law
- Delivery delays may occur due to customs processing
- We are not responsible for packages held or returned by customs
Tracking & Delivery
- All orders include tracking information
- Tracking details will be emailed once your order ships
- Signature confirmation required for orders over $150
- We are not responsible for packages marked as "delivered" by the carrier
Shipping Insurance
- Orders over $100 are automatically insured
- Additional insurance available for lower-value orders ($3.99)
- Insurance covers loss or damage during transit
- Claims must be filed within 30 days of delivery date
Delivery Issues
Lost Packages: If tracking shows your package as lost, we will work with the carrier to locate it. If not found within 10 business days, we'll send a replacement or provide a full refund.
Damaged Items: If your fan arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos. We'll arrange for a replacement or refund.
Wrong Address: We are not responsible for packages shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. Please verify your shipping address before completing your order.
Special Circumstances
Fragile Item Handling
Due to the delicate nature of handmade Japanese fans:
- We use extra protective packaging
- "Fragile" labels are applied to all packages
- We recommend selecting insured shipping options
Holiday Shipping
During peak seasons (November-January), please allow additional processing and shipping time. We recommend placing orders early to ensure delivery by specific dates.
Rush Orders
Rush processing available for an additional $15 fee. Contact us before placing your order to confirm availability.
